MINE IT ONLY SAID IMPORT WHY

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

@NeedleJUNKY It is Make the Cut software… Latest software to compete with SCAL

  • john146only says:

    @ScrappyDewCreations
    What’s MTC?

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

@nikstewart Design Studio is too limiting, meaning you can only cut that design out if you have those cartridges. SCAL or MTC is a What You See is What you Get, regardless of what cartridges you have.

  • nikstewart says:

I am new to the Cricut but I know I need some type of software with it. I just don’t know what to get. What would you recommend? Design Studio, SCAL2 or MTK?

  • greggreen98 says:

I use inkscape with scal because after you trace it you can edit the svg.

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

@NeedleJUNKY I made a video response to show you how to do this all in SCAL2. However at the time of the video we were using SCAL1. SCAL2 does have an Auto Trace now. However sometimes inkscape is still needed to get a desired results.

  • NeedleJUNKY says:

Hi, Rob: Why do you use inkscape to convert file vs. the scal program?

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

@KraftyKatsy Visit our website for Starter Package Details. Cricut bug is from doing a search on google and tracing it.

  • KraftyKatsy says:

How do we get the free svg’s that we are to get when we buy the scal2?? I also want to know how do I get the Cricut bug svg or where is it?? Thankyou :)

  • TheMoparlvr says:

Thanks so much for your great tutorial!

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

No problem we aim to train! Looks like you’re just getting started with software. At least now you have an option SCAL or MTC

  • StacyJayT says:

Thank you for your prompt reply! You are a great Trainer!

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

That’s one of the programmers way of allowing you to see the software and how it works. Once you purchase your copy those extra lines will disappear. They are just watermarking your image.

  • StacyJayT says:

Got it, but when I cut, it cuts lines through my project. How do I correct this?

  • ScrappyDewCreations says:

yes download the trial it is free

  • drlbflip says:

I got it, thanks! One more question… I have great objects (thanks to you!) but I need to learn how to remove outlines from them so I can center the objects where I want them on the page. Can you help on that one? I looked at your tutorials but didn’t see what I was looking for.
