Cardstock, and regular weight papers are the best for the stadard cutting blade. If you’ve ordered a Cricut
, I have to assume you already have plenty of scrapbooking supplies handy, so you should have the paper you need already in your stash. To cut Vinyl and chipboard, you’ll need the deep cut housing and blade for the machine. Spend some time playing around with your machine and adjusting the pressure and speed: some papers cut better with heavy pressure and slow speed while others are best with light pressure and faster speeds. Don’t get discouraged if your first few cuts don’t work right. With some practice, you’ll get the hang of it.
Hi
You will love the Cricut
, you can use most any paper, the only ones that dont cut well for me are the real glittered papers they seem to tear. Did you buy the small or large one? the large Cricut
has more options than the small one like a multi cut, this will go over the image twice i have found that i can actually cut cardboard by using this setting. I also have a SCAL program to go along with the Cricut
it basicly allows you to cut svg files from the internet that you download, basicly it makes buying cartiges usless you will never need another cartrage. i you want more info on this ill be glad to help you give me an email briget_99_98@yahoo.com
