I have always had the best success with a more heavy cardstock. And like anything, you have to break the mat in. Once you use the mat a few times, some of the stick should wear off a bit. Use your spatula to remove paper.

Thanks Robyn!! Haven’t posted a comment in a while but I’ve been watching and also reading your blog. Absolutely love your stuff!! I still need to get to Walmart and get some of these Lites–they are super cute! I also, for the most part, use the max pressure—have rarely ever used the other settings.
It depends on what font you are using. Sometimes 1 1/2 inches might be too small for an intricate letter. Just mess around with your pressure, blade depth, and speed. I usually do my pressure at max but I am using very thick cardstock.
LOL! I’ve been using my Cricut
for 3 1/2 years now and I always use the pressure on Max. Who told you not to use it past Medium? It always depends on what you are using.
Thanks for the update of the cartridges. I like the fact that you are always showing the latest- helps me decide if I want to buy it. I know you have been asked a thousand times but where do you get your ATG 714 tape? I tried to find that info on your site but couldn’t find it.

@ginacapecchi Don’t put your pressure on anything higher than Medium. That is what made my paper rip, is when I had my pressure on high. Also, make sure your paper is stuck on the mat really well. Re-stick your mat if you need to. Use Depth 5 for cardstock and 4 for paper.
