For those of you curious about the Circle, once a month we will be giving you a “sneak peek” into projects created and featured for Cricut Circle Members. Stationery sets make the perfect gift to give to a new bride as she will be busy writing many notes of thanks to friends and family soon. This would also make a great gift for the bride to give to her bridesmaids, sisters-in-law to be, or mother and mother-in-law in appreciation for all that they have done for her during the wedding process. Here is how you can put one together using your Cricut Expression and Cuttlebug machines!
I created this set using the folder cut included on the Sentimentals Cartridge. I used my Gypsy Design Device to hide the slits for a business card on the inside, and then cut it out on gorgeous pre-embossed cardstock by Bazzill Basics. (The cut file download for the folder is included at the bottom of this post.) The label on the front was created with my Cuttlebug machine and the Cuttlebug 5×7 Embossing Plus, Fanciful Labels die. I adhered it to Teresa Collins Designs Posh patterned paper and hand-trimmed around the edge to give it a mat. I did this two times for a layered look. The letters were cut from the Storybook cartridgeand the flourishes were created using the Cindy Loo Cartridge. I handcut a rose from the Posh patterned paper to accent the label and flourishes.
Inside I decorated the folder panels with more Cricut cuts and handcut patterned paper pieces. On the left side, I used the “Write Soon” phrase from the Sentimentals Cartridge that is anchored on a label created using my Cuttlebug machine and the Cuttlebug 5×7 Embossing Plus, Fanciful Labels die. On the left side is a handcut patterned paper piece from the Teresa Collins Designs Posh collection. I accented all elements with rhinestones.
The notecards came together so fast and easy using the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders! I used bright white cardstock cut down to notecard size and them embossed them with my Cuttlebug machine and the following Cuttlebug embossing folders: Winter Frolic Cuttlebug Companion Set, Grace’s Frame, Sentimentals Cuttlebug Companion Set, and Heritage Cuttlebug Companion Set.
Add a bit of patterned paper to the flaps of the coordinating envelopes, line the inside of the folder with coordinating patterned paper, tie a bow around the closed folder, and you have a gift set that any bride or bridesmaid would appreciate!
