“I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.” — Lily Tomlin
Hello! Kristen Swain here with a fun gift for those wonderful teachers in your life. I know getting a small gift for teachers can be such a difficult decision, so I think a plant for the classroom is a great gift.
Simply create a card and a couple cute plant stakes, tie on a pretty ribbon and you have a fast gift that is sure to be met with smiles.
I bought this plant, complete with with the striped pot. I tied a pretty green ribbon around the pot at the top and decided to keep it simple and not add any more paper to the pot. I did however think that some cute plant stakes would brighten up the plant. So I used two bamboo skewers and my Cricut Expression Machine to cut out star tags. I then cut an apple and pencil to place on the star-shaped tags. I used foam tape to pop them up for added dimension and a few buttons with twine.
I made a coordinating card to go with the plant. I doubled my images when I cut them out, then added the second apple and pencil to the card. Cut out a simple sentiment and add the layers to the card. Who wouldn’t love something this sweet for their home or classroom?!
