Question by : How do I use my handmedown Cricut on my computer?
I inherited an original Cricut and I am attempting to use the Cricut craft room, however it does not recognize my Cricut. I only have the machine and the two cartridges but no software or anything. I have it connected to my computer via a usb cable. Also, I am using a mac. Any advice?

I think you’re going to have to buy the software – something like this:

My experience hooking up my ProvoCraft Cricut up to my computer. Also, I talk a bit about Cricut Design Studio and Sure Cuts a Lot software.

I have the Design Studio software free trial downloaded, and whenever I try to cut or update firmware is says “Your Cricut was not found”

or do you have to have the cartridges
