Question by : Can Cricut be used to cut origami squares?
My mom got a Cricut. I was wondering if there is a cartridge with a square on it that I could adjust to any size for origami.

The basic cartridge that came with the machine will do squares of varying sizes, depending on what machine she has. However, the Cricut really does best with cardstock weight paper for diecuts, so you’re really going to have to play around with blade pressure and speed to get it to cut origami paper and not just shred it because it is so thin. I’d also recommend using an older cutting mat, because the origami paper is so thin the adhesive on a new mat may very well tear it when you are trying to pull it off the mat.

Very simple card I made starting out with the project from the cartridge. The project in the booklet was too big for my standard A2 card size I normally use. This is what I came up with in the space I had. I really like the end result and I hope you like it too!
