I get an error message while trying to update firmware on the crisut – says I am missing drivers

is there any way I can add the Carts I already have to the Design Studio? If there is, I cant figure it out. The ones I have are not on the list of carts in the Design Studio.

I scrapbook quite often so i’d really like to get the Cricut expression for projects and stuff. They’re so expensive at michaels they’re $400 etc. I’ve tried ebay and amazon and the prices are still pretty steep. HELP!
